I’ve used this pattern before, divided by 4 (Cardinal Directions) and 5 (Quintile). This piece is larger and is divided into 9 parts and is an irregular three-dimensional tessellation. Ennead is the word for Nine in Greek, and also refers to a group of nine deities in Egyptian mythology.
