Starting with a simple, diamond-shaped pattern, the overall effect changes based on the shape of the piece and the glazes used. I purposely used this reddish, gold, and ivory glaze combination, thinking that it would look like an imagined seedpod, and it does. The flow of the glaze on this piece is very appealing.
