This is a second piece using a tree theme and created with laser-printed decals and China paint. I photographed this majestic magnolia tree on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus, and my photographer friend, Barbara Tyroler did some photo editing for me. This has a somewhat different feel than “The forest Within,” but the gigantic magnolia tree has resonances with traditional and modern images of the Tree of Life, found in many cultures worldwide in paintings and other art forms.
