Years ago I made several pieces with this resist design in which the birds become more and more abstract and turn in to a geometric pattern at the top and bottom. This particular piece was the very best one of those resist pieces, with the interlocking pattern perfectly suiting the shape of the piece. Good thing, because it was made on commission as a wedding present.
