The lines in this piece are made using narrow tape that resists glaze application. Generally I want these resist lines to be a bit vague, but some lines in this piece are quite prominent. Nevertheless, I was happy with the result because it adds to the feeling of movement up—the lines are floating up from the deep, becoming more visible, and then disappearing in the “foam” at the top.
