Autumnal Shift - Ceramic pot

The color in this piece is certainly autumnal, with its shape and design suggesting pine cones, seed pods, and other things that fall from trees and plants in the fall. “Autumnal Shift” has an extra layer of carved relief, as well as the deeper altered relief that you see in most of my work. Highlighting the carved shapes with changes in glaze color gives the piece more depth and interest.
